What I can expect when I receive my first box?
Before your first box arrives, be sure to eat up some of those leftovers, your pup is going to need the freezer space! Please note, our Freshly Crafted recipes arrive frozen on dry ice for optimal freshness. To get started, scan the QR code on your box. You'll find a full onboarding guide on how to store and serve your recipe, along with a quick link to your account with personalized feeding guidelines for your pup.
How do I serve and store my Freshly Crafted recipes?
Eat up some of those leftovers, your pup is going to need the freezer space! Pro tip: only thaw what you’ll be needing for that day. Store unopened packs in freezer. Once thawed, keep refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 5 days. Be sure to never refreeze thawed food!
Can I mix the two recipes together at mealtime?
If your meal plan consists of two recipes, don't mix and match them at first. Go through the recommended transition guide you'll receive with your first box. Once your pup has adjusted to both recipes, you can mix and match their recipes by feeding a couple of days of one protein/recipe, then a couple of days of the other – as long as your pup is not prone to having a sensitive tummy. To be on the safe side, avoid feeing one protein/recipe for breakfast and another protein/recipe for dinner.

How much protein is in each recipe?
Just like great chefs, our recipe specifics are proprietary! But rest assured our Freshly Crafted diets contain at minimum 50% meat, poultry, or fish. At Open Farm we also focus on high protein inclusion diets and ~80 to 90% of the protein in our recipes comes directly from the animal ingredients.
