Raising the bar on animal welfare standards since Day 1
We believe meat raised the right way is higher quality and more nutritious for pets. We have comprehensive farm animal welfare standards for 100% of the animals in our supply chain, to ensure these animals are raised with kindness and respect.
We take our claims seriously. Here’s how:
Cage-Free Claims
Almost all chickens raised for meat are technically “cage-free,” but that doesn’t necessarily ensure proper space and quality living conditions. That’s why our chickens are raised according to strict 3rd party standards.
Humanely-Raised Claims
No 3rd party verification is required to make claims like “humanely raised” & “ethically sourced.” That’s why we work with 3rd party organizations to certify 100% of the meat in our supply chain.
Grass-Fed Claims
“Grass-fed” claims are not regulated for pet food and can be made for cattle that spend part of their lives on feedlots. Our cattle are raised at pasture for their entire lives, and are never on feedlots.
